How does a £189 service cost £1000?

Well...

The 2 year schedule says brake fluid change (£84 labour plus £17 fluid) and air con regas (£100) to retain your warranty
then there's the filters, sealing rings, air cleaner, window cleaner etc about £120
Castrol Edge oil £127
Service £189
then a screw spotted perfectly sited on the shoulder of the front tyre, so another £204 []
and as it was such a good deal, the new spoiler £90
plus the dreaded VAT on all of that that lot and bingo £1000

The air con regas showed up a leak in the condenser so that was replaced under warranty, so no charge for the regas as that had to be done as part of the warranty [:D]

Pleased with the spoiler end result too

Is it 2 years old already - that time went really quickly?

At least you're in good shape for the weekend. Might have been a good idea to have retained the old splitter unti after the run though! [:(] [:D]

Different to this then...?

I've just had the dreaded 4 year service - it says £1250 on the website.......I wish....[&:][;)]

Edit - And, I should add, some VERY generous discounts on parts and labour....[:)]

Yes, by the time consumables and VAT is added, not far off. Club discount is applicable on most parts (not the tyre though). So, not unhappy with the outcome.

I kept the original in case it's a problem, but I don't think it's made much of a difference to clearance. We'll see...

Mine was due for the 2 year and the quotation was over £600. Managed to come out of it because I sold it and Porsche will do it prior to selling it again

But that would have been reflected in the trade in price - so you did sort of pay it [;)]

I did the similar thing when trading in my previous Porsche and the first thing was it was due a service thus only this cost.. that's business I guess.

Ah but that's man maths, look honey how much I've saved by changing my car now [:)]
