How does the key go back together???

I had to dismantle one of the keys, because the button was jammed down, and the light on all the time. Now I can't get the damned thing back together again properly. I've read all the forum posts I can find, and the trick seems to be to assemble the circuit board and battery into the button half of the key, with the battery facing out, and then to snap the other half on, starting at the heel end. However, I can see that the key is not securely together - there's still a 2-3mm gap at one corner near the button and light. I can squeeze this down, but it just separates again as soon as I release the pressure. The key works OK, but I'm concerned that it's not secure and will fall apart at some point, maybe without my realising it, and I'll lose some of the bits. Is there any solution or do I just have to live with it?

Thanks

Ed

You can glue them. Enough to hold it together, but will still part when the battery needs replacing.

I had the same issue. Got so fed up and Sellotaped it which looked awful. Then smashed it with a hammer out of frustration and was happier to pay for a new one!!
