Would have been a good buy if you`d been to see it then saw the other ad.

30% OFF - Makes you wonder [8|]

Aye, but not being cynical but it could be the seller "bidding" if he has not put a reserve on it. This will ensure he does not give it away!!

I could be totally wrong and someone has picked up a bargain!!

If anyone wants to know the real reason why it went from an autotrader sale to a trade sale, get in contact with me [;)]

Just thought it was a bit interesting, from a business point of view I`d say they were just releasing some cash for a potential future purchase of something else. Looked OK for £10 grand though, would have wanted everything working and complete history for £16K though [;)]

What`s the story then Steve [&:]

By pure coincedence I discussed this car with Marcus of Autoperform (the seller in both ads) today while at Oulton Park on the club trackday. You'll need to e-mail me through my profile to find out more....but suffice to say it's not the car for you Tony [;)]

Presumably they found out it had been in a nasty accident and had to trade it out cheaply/quickly?

Will do mate [:)]

By the way, are you a serial trackdayer ?? There seems to be a lot going on in that department at the moment [:D]

Just to stop speculation....no it doesn't have a dodgy history of accidents and the like AFAIK.

However, on inspection the engine was found to be not at its best. Nothing that a few £K thrown at it wouldn't solve. Having already bought a car a dealer has the choice of spending their own money getting it fit for purpose, so they can sell it with confidence (because they have to provide at least 6 months guarantee) or move it as a trade sale to someone else that is willing to spend on it (and hope to sell it later at a profit). In my experience they are a reputable dealer and chose to do the latter for their own reasons. A less scrupulous dealer might hope to knock it out a low price in the hope that the buyer doesn't have any problems in the first 6 months.

So I guess you can say the dealer caught a cold on this one by not thoroughly checking it out before taking it in to their stock and putting it up for sale the first time. They may have even taken it in as a p/x but I'm not certain on that one.

Thats fair enough, only problem is that we all get to see their markup on sales [:-]

(that is if they let it go for what they paid for it).

At that ebay price he lost money [:(]

p.s. and my serial trackdaying is now done until the spring [&o]

Hmm thought the one thing it lacked on their list of work done (eBay advert) was an engine rebuild.

Other than that it looked a nice motor.
