How hard can it be.............part 2

Following on from my previous post which sort of went off in an odd direction"¦.

Well it was quite hard actually, but patience prevailed and as the positive folk in my previous thread said if I waited the right car would come along eventually.

I picked up this on Sunday and I'm most happy with it;

Throughout Sept, Oct and into November the prices kept on dropping (and still do, I was amazed to see one OPC car drop by £3k on Sunday morning!!). I went to see some lovely cars and some less so in a whole range of condition and spec.

Did I stick to my budget?? Well"¦"¦..in typical man-maths fashion my budget increased a tad, but I stretched because this is a 61plate with only 4.5kmiles on the clock"¦"¦"¦.I started looking at 58-09's back in July going to 59-10's in Sept.

Initial impressions;

- it's so much faster and planted than my old 2003 986s
- it's feels similar in speed and eagerness to my 2006 997C4S
- it's no 911 but I'm loving the sound

Looking forward to getting out for a proper spin in the daylight this weekend.

Well done for being patient Mark and glad you got something sorted - looks good in the sunshine.

The weather looks dry for the weekend, so hope that you get to enjoy some top-down motoring.

Looks nice, I'm sure it will give you a lot of pleasure.

Finding a good very low mileage car can be a very sensible way of saving a lot of money! My BMW had done 5000 miles when I bought it at less than half its new price - 50000 miles and 4 1/2 years later it is still going strong!

Hi Mark
Congrats on your new car and welcome to the Boxster fold.
I am so pleased that the right car came along for you.
The car looks great and i am sure you will get a great deal of pleasure from it.
You can keep up to date with all things Boxster here on the forum,in the Porsche Post and also on twitter.
I hope to meet you at an event in the coming months.
Regards
Tracy
