How has your 944 impressed you recently?

I know there's the handling and power and 50/50 weight distribution but over the weekend i've noticed the cars absolute resistance to side winds. It's been howling a gale round here the last few nights but you wouldn't know it inside a 944.
Superb, but it still steams up like a lesbian orgy in a hot tub.

I noticed that about 2 years ago in a trip to Cornwall. Drove down fine and quite swiftly wondering why everyone was travelling so slowly??? Didn't hear or feel any wind to speak of, certainly wasn't getting blown about then got out of the car and nearly got blown off a cliff!! Just wasn't expecting the wind to be that strong!

I LOVE 944's )

Ben

p.s. I recently figured out that if you keep your foot off the throttle and stick around the speed limits you can average 33mpg out of a turbo! After 4 years of ownership thats the first time I've tried such a ludicrous experiment.

The practicality always impresses me. It carried two 944 gearboxes not long ago.

I always find that if i dont use the 944 for a few days it always feels good to drive again and i would have imagined that in its day the 944 would really have been something[8D]

Floor it in 2nd gear up to around 4K rpm then put it in neutral and see how far you can coast. I can travel around 40mph for at least half a mile in my turbo. Talk about torque.

i actually managed to get a 6'2 friend to sit in the back and go for a drive in it haha. he was so comfortable looking it impressed me.
