How many 3.2's made after mine?

Hi All,

Hope someone can enlighten me on a question that's been niggling since I bought the car. From the VIN I know I have one of the last 50 911's (3.2's), nice bonus I though..

Now, is there anywhere or (anyone who knows) where I can go to find out how many other RHD 911's were produced after mine and ideally, how many of those were targa's.

Thanks

Jayse

Hi Jayse
if you get hold of Tony Corletts book
Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera
The last of the evolution
The full factory production numbers for the 3.2 run are listed but ROW production
does differentiate RHD/LHD
I am sure other books have these numbers as well (beware you will never match these up precisely as Porsche made addition body's and engines as all manufactures do to cope with "spares/rebuilds/blown engines etc" and that throws
up a discrepency albeit small so you will never be able to say more than "one of the last Targas/Coupes/Cabs to be built.

Thanks Simon,

I've got Peter Morgan's book, that's how I've worked out I have one of the last 50. I'm guessing it has similar number's to Tony's book, but I'll have a look for it as well.

I'm sure that mine would have been one of the last lot brought over to the uk, I was hoping someone would know how many more were brought into the uk before the 964's came in.

May be i'm hoping for too much, but hey may as well try.

Mine was 28/9/1989 on G plates too. Be good to find out when it was made though. Its the last of the 53 uk clubsports I believe.
