How many Boxsters have you had since the launch way back in 1996 [8D]

My current example is my 6th and the passion for the model continues to grow with every mile travelled [8D]

I'm on number 4, an RS60 Spyder, which follows a 550 Spyder (986), a 52 plate Boxster S (facelift) and a 1997 986 2.5 litre.

Quite the opposite for me. For each mile travelled the more my enthusiasm for the car diminishes. Apart from a rusty Vauxhaul Victor FB I owned in the 70s, the Boxster has proved the most unreliable car, with the highest cost per mile, I've every owned out of 37 cars. Two weeks ago it was a cracked coil pack. This week it's a new battery... again. (This one (Porsche/Moll) managed 2 years 4 months (just out of warranty)).

When the OPC tells you you've had "quite a lot done on your car over the past 4 years", you realise it's time to chuck in the towel. I'm looking for a replacement right now and it won't be a Porsche.

No Death nail - Ive had two - both S 986 models - the current one being the RS 550 Spyder - both my cars have been
trouble free and a pleasure to own and drive[;)]

my entry into boxster ownership ,though rather late in the day after numerous others....has been supreme, given we have had only one day of rain in the nearly three months ive had it so far[:D]

would certainly consider another ,again with sport chrono and PDK as well as all the other essentials like adaptive heated sports seats and xenons[:)]

1 for me. 550 Spyder 04 - One of the best cars I've ever owned. Miss it like crazy and would buy it back tomorrow if I had the loot.

Cheers
Chris

Come on Dyllan, you know you want a proper car!

mmmmm

and a hairdressers fiat is a "proper car"[:D]

too much time spent in an oxygen deprived altitude i suspect ,Biggles[:)]

when you gonna come back down to earth and rejoin the porsche brigade??

on my second now after a year away.

1st was a 97 2.5, now I have an 04 S

I don't plan to take another year off - it was very dull!

My first Porsche was a 2.5 Boxster convertible, then I was distracted by a 996, but now back, with a Boxster hard top.
