how many left

Don't think there's any way to know really. The lists of numbers left are only by model. If you knew the details of every one sold you could see if they were still on the road.

These were correct as of Dec '15.....

G790LAB H296YUV G538WFG H887POF G801AUD H36YYY G348RHG H916XYM H4CHR G423PWT H728RWW H46PBO

thanks for your input i have checked the 12 numbers that you have give me and there are only 4 still on the road including mine h36 yyy does that make it the rarest clour of the 944s could you let me know thanks for your time dave

Even Porsche cant tell you have many Teurkis Blau S2s it made. Their records weren't great. It wasn't a series production colour, and technically, its name is Teurkis Blau because it wasn't given an Anglicised name. The Turkish Blue colour/name came later, long after 944 production ended.

Despite not being a production colour it was still more common than Maritime Blue or Star Ruby.

Hi Dave ,i have only had my 944S2 coupe since just before christmas cashed in my 3.2 targa probably to soon but if your selling and get a good offer sell so that went and i still love Porsches so i bought my 944 s2 from Mark at the modern classic car co. in Scotland who always seems to get some really great cars . The pictures are still on his website and on the strength of those high resolution pictures about 80 in total i bought the car Mark had it transported down in a shuttle and it met all my expectations the colour is really great and has attracted lots of questions about paint codes etc .I am booked into the Silverstone classic in July and will be taking part in the track parade .The car has covered 122000 miles but the engine has been completely rebuilt by one of the owners and is the original as the engine number shows .Its developed a knock which i have tracked down to the front nearside wishbone its being replaced by Promax next week . From what i have been told these late 944s2 were built at the Audi plant at Neckarsulm until 1991 i think code LM5M is an Audi colour strangely according to Porsche cars GB and i quote from there letter " LM5M is a pre sales code and described the colour Turquoise Blue or Turkis Blau in German .E6E6 is a after sales code for exactly the same colour and is what we have on our systems."

hi that sounds like a nice car you have got i am too going to silverstone classic if the car is ok only a couple of weeks ago the car developed a nasty oil leak behind the belts so all of the belts are covered in oiland so unit 11 in warrinton where i live recommended i park it up and they can fit me in mid june to change the belts and gaskets at the same time and have a look at the power steering as i rebuilt the power steering pump but it is still heavy is really heavy moving off from standstill anyway how i came to buy the car my reg is h36yyy 160000 miles i was looking for a car i was looking at cossies made a list then checked insurance etc iwas put off by unreliability of porsche 944 turbos i got it down to s2s as they are nearly as fast and better to drive in real life i found this one four years before 260 miles away that was in 2008 my dad liked the car then idecided to leave it four years later on 13july2012 my dad died of cancer and we had a tax rebate thats when i decided to look at porsches again and believe it or not the same cars were in the autotrder but he had moved to altringham 14 miles away from me fate hey i went to look twice checked everything and bought her i did not cope with my dads death well and she ended up in storage until last year it took me 3 weeks to clean her properly and i put her in for her mot aand detailed the engine like i said i was going to take her to the shows and this happened sorry that i have droned on keep in touch dave see you at silverstone hopefully dave

Look forward to seeing your car at Silverstone though not sure I agree with the "unreliability of the 944 turbo" assessment ! [;)]
