I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 997 Carrera 2S with Type F M030 Sport Chassis option. Does anyone know how many 997's have this factory option in the UK? I'm told it is quite rare. Thank you

Evening!

The short answer is Yes, it is rare, but I think only Porsche UK would have the info to answer it fully.
It is odd as the Mo30 option along with a few other items would make for a great drivers 997.

From a personal perspective, what I've found researching 997s for either myself or friends, the popular 'performance' options seem to be in desending order:
Sports Chrono
Sports Seats
Sports Exhaust
Short Shift Kit
Sport Suspension

But, hardly any cars have more than two or three of these options. People are odd.

Thank you for replying to my question. I am the forth owner and I am sure the last didn't know what he had. It has M030, P17 with rear diff lock and sports chrono plus. [:)]

I specified the sport suspension on my 2S back in 2005. The Porsche experience cars, which was held at Millbrook back then were also sport chassis equipped when I went there. The Porsche driver who instructed me on the day felt the PASM was a little unpredictable on the Alpine course. My old car is now owned by a friend from the club so I see it frequently. So that makes at least two.[:)]
