There is a 1969 porsche 911s B series LWB for sale in polo red totally restored engine number 6391160
chassis number 119300816
are these matching numbers? he wants about £30k for it, is this over the top?

The numbers look right for the car but there is no way to know if it is matching numbers without writing to the factory to get the original build details for the car. Takes 3 to 6 weeks and costs about £60.

If it's the car in Australia then it was originally delivered in the UK therefore the club should have that info I beleive.

But of course you would need to be a member to benefit from getting the info frpm the club[;)].

You can only get the info from Porsche GB if you can prove that you own the car, so that's not much use to a prospective purchaser. Any seller making the claim must be able to back it up with documentation, either with a CoA or initial invoices or registration documents
