So fellow porsche owners...how much do you think I could get for her in a private sale?

Thaks in advance

25k? does it have the OPC warranty?

guess it depends on the car and how much someone really wants it!

Plenty slopping about on ebay in mid 20's at that sort of mileage. Many do not even reach reserve and the bidding tails off at 22-23

Yeah been seeing that...i thought with the newish engine and the colour combo I could get a bit more...any more suggestions, 50 views and only 2 responses!

newish engine

Unfortunately, most people would be put off by a replacement engine, although if it were done by Porsche and thus covered by the warranty, it should add to the value. There are a lot of good 996's around at the moment and the flood of 997's isn't helping resale.

fickle market I am afraid and lots of them about.

a new engine will have little impact and I would be worried if that were the case.

my engine has 62k on it and has not missed a beat since new!

you jut got to find the right person for the car. I have got tonnes of extras on my car along with the the full gt3 kit, sports chassis, sports pipes and god knows what else but most buyers treat it like a std C2 which it never was and never will be!

plus mine has the OPC warranty!

Engine fitted under warranty by porsche...but as you say this may put some people off.

It's a shame that such a beautiful car is suffering from residuals...but hey I guess thats market forces

I know Dre and tell me about it as trying to flog mine!!

as it was done by porsche then I would be very happy with that and a new engine is a nice touch! especially as it is warrantied and will extend the life of the car!!

see what happend and hang in there!!

If the car is really well presented it should be worth c.£25k, which represents depreciation of about 10% pa from new.

If the engine was newly supplied and fitted by Porsche, with a warranty, then this should be a positive.

Cheers...looks like I'll have to get the zymol out!

PS Das - how long have you been tryiong to get rid of your's, where have you advertised and for how much (if you don't mind me asking)

That's pretty much the spec I've been look to buy over the last month and I'd say you're looking at 23-24 privately or 25 from an independent with warrentee, judging by what's out there.

Personally I'd see the engine replacement as a positive.
