I was asked by a friend the other week what my SC (1981) would have cost new and i can't find any information - any ideas anyone?

Cheers
Chris

I have a 1983 price list,
I'd have to check but I believe without options the 911 SC coupe was 21,500 (thats without the aerokit to add front and rear wings)

Sorry the price I quoted above was for a Carrerra 3.2 not an SC.
If anyone is interested I could post a photo of the full price list with options.

(Back then the options list was one page rather than a whole book!)

I have a customer with a 80 or 81 targa that he bought new I can ask him, he has told me in the past and recall it was about 17/18 K regards Berny.

SC Sport targa with 11 thou miles on the clock = £15,500 at Lancaster, Colchester August 1983.
Me first Porsche.

In my Sept 1980 Parkers Guide the list price for a 911SC is £16,109 and the 911 SC Sport is £17,354. In March 1984 edition, under the "New Price" column for 1981 the 911 SC is listed as £16,732 and the Sport is £18,674. These will be without options but probably not as many available then as now.
Inflation was some what high around that time.
Hope this helps.
Paul.
