How Much!!!!

I have seen a few sets of these on e-bay regularly for around the £125 mark, and thought it was mad. As oppose to a normal set for around £20-£30. But that is truelly insane.....
I guess they are not in the know.

Looks liek the key to fitting the clear rears and looking factory is to paint the edge like Dan did - those ones look slightly modified as opposed to factory to me.

Maybe I should order another batch and get some lights from Simon Butterworth and make a killing. Not funny actually as the handful of people still waiting for theirs since November will agree.

How do they look 'modded'?
This is about the third or fourth time this seller has had them for sale. He must of laughed his [;)] off at the latest sale. I did send the buyer a website address. Am I evil?

Modified in that the border of the replaced lenses doesn't look the same as the border of the original clear lense next to it. Specifically the new lens is white right to the edge whereas the original lens has a black border around the very edge - presumably down to the different adhesives used.

Depends on how clean you get the frame of the light and what you stick it with I expect. I assume it is purely because the adhesive forms an unbroken, perfectly clear layer between the lens and the clean black frame on the factory fitted lens but when an orange one had been pulled off and the face cleaned up it's far from smooth and black.

Dan (I think) painted the surface of the turnclear lens that the glue goes on with black paint prior to sticking it and it looks more factory.

yup, the painted lines definitely help; the edges on the ebay ones have exactly the greyed-out look I was trying to avoid... I seriously can't believe people are paying that kind of money either - a few weeks ago one of these auctions went for £350.

Hi Al, a group of us did buy in bulk from Turnclear at the end of last year, much better prices. Actually I've just remembered the 'spares' 924 down in the garage still has the rear light clusters... [8|]
