This really is a lovely car - I first saw it at the Silverstone Classic some years ago when the owner had just imported it from the US.

Now for sale at http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C324076

But how much - I know the answer. Perhaps your would like to take a guess?[&:]

I will post price in a couple of days time.

I reckon that it's the cost of say a decent semi-detached house in Scotland, near where the car is for sale.....It will be interesting to see if it sells.
On the subject of values, there's a fairly comprehensive price guide in this months Classic and Sportscar.

Well if a decent semi in Scotland is £260K you have a choice - A house or the car[;)]

Well, maybe it'd be a really big semi...... with a pool and garaging for several vehicles......

Thats serious money, but then I suppose it is a serious car. Would you dare use it though and are there people out there who are prepared to pay that kind of money for a 356? S'pose they'd go to Karmann Konnection and pay £120k for the split camper too.

Being into vintage cars I was amazed at the prices realised for "The Daniels Collection" though. So hey, Who knows?

What would be the point in buying and not using?

You would be better off saving some money - how about buying a 356 Rag top for £130K and spending the other £130K on doing all the top events in Europe over several years?

£250 K is about on the mark........have seen this car in the flesh and know the owner .It won 1st place at the 2010 Scottish Regional concourse even the number palate is worth a bit . It has also won at other shows
I was there in my Speedster and the owners comment where at least you can take your car to places you could not go to in the 356. You would need to stand guard over it at an event ,so no use that, would paranoid about leaving it unattended ..
Go buy a replica and enjoy it at £25k

Sorry I don't understand the reasoning of Cant take it to events and the need to stand over it.

I take my car to club events (and others are worth more than mine) and I feel no need to restrict myself on when I can take the car.

When the Car is on a club stand I feel no need to stand over it - sorry I just don't get it[&:]

He meant he could not just go out for a run in it and leave it and go away unattended .I consider where i can leave the Boxster and will not take it certain places ,A lot of jealous people out there

Hi, I had not just imported the Speedster when you seen it at Silverstone.I did the restoration and I have owned this Speedster for almost 20 years.I used it quite a bit before the restoration. I have a second 356 Speedster which I prefer to use more often as I dont need to spend a week cleaning after use. As you can see I have not even bothered to put a description on my listing as I am in no hurry & dont really want to sell it but I am in the process of buying a very exciting & rare (Porsche) & something will need to go.I think this is extremely good value as several of the POA listed Speedsters in well know dealers are doing £280/300K & really couldn't touch this car.
Kind regards

If I had the cash I would buy it, but I don't, unfortunately, but that doesn't stop me admiring it either. Absolutely stunning, what a fantastic Porka. I love the 356 shape particularly the speedster and that finish is wow! credit to its owner.

Just won best in show and visitors choice a today's Scottish annual concourse it is a stunning looking car ..and i got 2nd place in the Boxster Cayman class.
