how to drain petrol tank on 993c4

I think (I haven't done this myself) that you disconnect the fuel pump input hose and the tank will drain. The pump is under a metal plate on the passenger side of the car just behind the front wheel. The plate is on the underside of the car. I'm guessing you have an air con issue?

Good luck.

thanks folks... it's worse than diesel... i've created a dual fuel car alright, but it seems that screenwash doesn't burn for loove nor mmoney.
what a bonehead

I take it that your avatar is a picture of your car after the @rse fell out of it? [:D][:D][:D]

never mind Uber it's easy done. I've nearly done it myself. Probably not as bad as putting diesel on it ? [&:] Did you try to start it ?

How much did you add? I think you can add ethyl alcohol which will "bond" with the water and subsequently mix with the petrol but it's a question of how much. Still, at least your exhaust will be clean. And perhaps pissed :)

missus wanted to take car out so I thought I'd check screen wash etc... was busy singing Rudolph the red nosed... to my daughter and not really concentrating.
Didn't put much in...
Drained about 20 litres out of the full tank. Fortunately the screenwash was at the bottom.
Fired the old girl up and she ran a treat.
I think I've got away with it.

Thanks Guards red, that is exactly where the fuel pump is... I wish I had a two-post ramp and not a bad back!
