Some of you may have seen this already but in a sort of boyish humour way, you can't beat the explanation in the last 40 seconds of this Top Gear clip.

And we'll ignore the glaring inaccuracies ('C4S has the same engine as the turbo'; 'they never go wrong' [8D])
