How to remove Hard Top

It is all described in the owners handbook. Do you have a copy? If not, you can get one from an OPC for around £15 iirc.
Open all the windows
Pull off plastic cover on top locking mechanisim at the front of the top above center of the windscreen
Press red button and pull lever down towards you
In the rear of the cabin remove the 2 - 50p sized plasic covers on the rear shelf using the plastic end of the roof release tool that you should have (looks similar to an allen key but has a red plastic handle - there should be one with the car)
Insert tool into the hole until located and turn anticlockwise until roof pops up - obviously repeat other side
With and assistant an a prepared site to place the top, both grasp either side of the top close to the A pillar and under the top where it meets the rear wing in line from the centre of the wheel arch.
Lift the rear first until it clears the car and then lift the top to the rear and you should be free. All that is left to do is replace the plastic covers over the holes and store your roof safely.

You sort of waddle backwards, if you have sufficient space, then once it is fully clear of the car then you have to decide what to do with it next. Do you carefully balence it on the Hard Top Stand that you bought previously , or do you have a soft area to put it down on ?
If all else fails, you can make an offer for my 'Garage Roof' mounted hard top lifter that I no longer require as I have stopped buying 911,s with hard tops !
The mechanism will store the roof at ceiling level until such times as you decide to put it back on for the winter !
