Afternoon Everybody,
Thought i'd best introduce myself instead of just lurking around in the background.
My names Lee and I'm soon to be in the market for a 996, was first off looking at the Carrera 4s but am now being swayed towards an earlier Turbo 996.
I've had a few Reanultsports in the past 5 years so will be a big leap up (hopefully) I started off with the Clio Cup 172, then got the 197 R27 F1 and currently run a Megane 225 F1 mapped to 260bhp, all track based cars really, great little fun cars to drive all of them, Cup 172 was the best as it had no traction or ABS and no sound deadening and lightweight glass, it was a real b-road warrior, although the Megane has much more power.
As I am now getting toward 35 I thought it about time I get one good motor that I can keep for a long time and the 996 seems like the obvious choice.
Anyhoo, going to have a good read round and hopefully find some good advice and thanks for having me.
If there is any tips or tricks I should be aware of please share the knowledge and I also think of myself as a bit of an anorak with cars and am currently studying the dark art of remapping and ecu's, so if I can help out with anything or indeed answer any questions I would be more then happy to do so.
Hope your all OK and this reaches you all in good spirits.
Cheers
Lee
