Howells on Countryfile...again!!

When I heard they were covering kayaking on the Wye I thought Symonds Yat might get a little mention, then Paul gets a starring role!

you can have my autograph when you see me next,a long day 8am until 4.30 pm for a few mins on tv.
I had to warm ellie back up!![;)]

So that's twice in 2 yrs or so--worth a fortune in free advertising-remember going on a boat at Symonds Yat in1954-near the ferry cable -I wonder whether it was a younger Paul Howells who had to keep working the bilge pump all the time to stop it sinking.

Well done Paul.

The river looked to be flowing a LOT faster than when I canoed down it a few summers back. A bunch of us had a great day - got dropped off at a bridge somewhere a several miles up river and had an evening of well deserved beers in the Saracen's Head after we finished.

Thanks rs,you should come and do it again, only visit our hotel, the beer is better, especially the white Belgium beer[;)]
The river was still rising on the filming day, great fun.

That Howells will do anything to get a blonde on the end of his kayak!!![:D][:D][:D]
