How's your 996 when engine ticking over?

My 996 C4 ticks over as normal whilst stuck in a traffic jam, then after about 30 seconds it starts to tick over quicker and then slower as though petrol isn't getting through.(I'm not touching the foot pedal either)

It almost feels like it's about to stall. The seat vibrates a lot more too. Has anyone any experience at what this could be? [8|]

Sounds like a sensor (MAF or O2) or maybe an intake air leak. Do you have any access to diagnostic equipment? It is fairly essential for this type of fault finding.

I do have an RMS issue, and i suppose if oil is weeping out then air can get in, which would make a difference to the engine. No i don't have diagnostic equipment. Suppose i'm just going to have to get it checked out.

The RMS won't have any effect on this problem. Any leakage here will be miniscule compared with a split filler tube, leaking oil separator, leaking filler cap, etc.
