HSCC Wolds Trophy @ Cadwell 21st/22nd April

I seem to remember seeing a PCGB flag fluttering over Cadwell last Easter. Are any of you guys turning out for the HSCC meet there this year? If so I may drag the old 944 up from deepest, darkest Hampshire to say "hello".

Hi Glenn, I hope the RO does not mind me replying to this post. We R4 are booked in our club diary to be attending Cadwell Park for the forthcoming HSCC meeting on 22 April. We will also be attending the VSCC meeting on Sat 9 July. In both of these meetings we will have the PCGB flag and gazebo errected, usually somewhere near the Gooseneck complex. I know a warm welcome would be extended to any other region members joining us on the day. Gavin

Cool. My favourite race series, my favourite race track and now it seems I might have an excuse to drag the old Porsche kicking and screaming up there [;)]

All - As you can see from the date for this event it now clashes with our Novice experience day at Blyton Park. If members still wish to attend Cadwell event then please do. The Novice day, I will be at this new venue not Cadwell. Its unfortunate that when arranging the Novice day the only date I could secure was the 22nd April. Richard RO

Glenn, I had suggested I would be at Cadwell on the 22nd along with R4, alas things change very quickly. I have committed to spend the day instructing for R4 at Blyton Park, for a short notice track day at a new venue. I know that not everyone will be at Blyton and suspect we will still have some going to Cadwell Park. Keep an eye on this forum, I will try to find out how many are going to turn up at Cadwell. Gavin

I appreciate the update, Gavin. I will be going to Cadwell anyway, but "which car" remains open to debate. If it is going to be a lonely little 944 I might end up taking the Golf.

So, is there going to be a Porsche Club presence here ? - If so will book tickets. As a seperate question - have been to Cadwell but cannot remember if track side parking is possible - I suspect not - can someone advise. Andrew

Yes, track side parking is possible around much of the circuit. Specifically the section from "Coppice" round to "Mansfield" which probably represents 60%+ of the track length.

ORIGINAL: gresley Thanks Glenn - are you making an appearance - and are there any others going? Andrew
I will be at the race meeting for the whole weekend. I intend to take the 944 (mechanical disasters/fuel crises/earthquakes etc. aside). I don't know if anyone else will be there, since any formal "meeting" would be a local region event.

I go most years, great meeting. There will be loads of cars both in main parking area and dotted around the track, plenty of Porsches included. Only 30 minutes from Blyton so you could look-in at both. Ian

"mud, mud, glorious mud! Nothing quite like it...." I've been slipping and sliding the mud-racer, sorry 944, around Cadwell all day. Anyone going is advised to take their wellies and a tow-rope.
