HT leads

Never done it, but it cant be that hard, you can see them all right? It just feeding them through and over all the brackets and around the engine. I'm afraid I'm a bit of an armchair mechanic this week! :)

You need to be a little careful about what you replace them with. Some aftermarket lead kits don't include the necessary grommets that fit in the engine tins. The OEM Porsche lead kits do include the grommets but it's not as easy installing them as you might think. It's also not cheap!!!

There is a DIY on P-Car (here) that's for a V-Ram 993 but the basics are pretty much the same.

Dave

I would say that with a 964(including RS) that it's a step further than changing the spark plugs which means removing the air box cover, blower duct on the left, catalytic converter, final silencer, left and right engine capsules and left and right tins. Once all that lot is off everything is nicely exposed. Don't forget to put in a set of spark plugs, new dizzy caps and rotors while you're at it [;)]

As the above points out. If you can change the plugs on 964 you can change the leads. Just a matter of removing all that's mentioned in the above post. If your just replacing the leads I would doubt that you'd need to remove the airbox cover and you might get away with out removing the blower motor too (although that may make removing the cat's o2 sensor plug a bit tricky.
