Hub covers question

If your question is as to whether the 19 inch winters will fit over the brakes the answer is yes. The 18's also fit according to the Porsche TEquipment website

Or if you're asking about the Porsche crests then yet. They're all the same size.

Remember to ask for your PCGB discount. I got my 18s for £2k instead of £2350

My CGTS 4.0 came with '20-inch 718 Sport Wheels' (silver) and I've ordered the '19-inch Boxster S Winter Wheel and Tyre Set'.
Does anyone know whether the hub covers of the 718 Sport wheels will fit the Boxster S wheels?
The salesman would only say they might not fit.
Thanks.

Dan, thanks for replying.

I was referring to the wee discs with Porsche crest. That's great they will fit - the £170 is far better spent on petrol.

Yes, I got the generous PCGB 10% discount off the wheels.

Hold that thought Owen

A bit more digging has proven me wrong. You will need to buy new ones by the looks of things.

This is the part number 000 044 607 01

I'd give parts a call in the morning to confirm.

Apologies

Dan

Yep, that's the part number I found and was hoping to avoid needing to buy if these covers have exactly the same dimensions as the covers on the 718 Sport wheels.

I've been waiting to hear back from the parts guy since yesterday. I'll need to nudge him, I guess.

Thanks again, Dan.

You could always just pull your current covers off and have a look at the part number of the back. If you have a hooked pull tool or trim tool pop it in of of the holes and they pull off.

Whilst I understand the attraction of genuine wheel centres you can get not bad replicas via various online sources - they typically look good for a "season" but can be had for £20 a set - so for a set of winter wheels, I would look at that option and just replace them when they get scruffy, keep the genuine ones for the summer wheels.

Not wishing to hijack the thread, but how does one go about sourcing colour coded replacement hub caps? The number on the back of the existing hub cap does not seem to be tied to the colour; its a generic part number for this model of porsche (987.1)

Cheers
