But would last 5 mins on the road over speed humps[:mad:]

Like it though, makes my splitter look teeny in comparison[:D]
 
Oooooo... looks lovely... I suspect it's a track only item though.... I for one wouldn't be able to get over the speed humps around here.........[&:]

Ooooohhhh! [8D] That is pant wettingly nice. That would look so good on Beaky ...........for about ten minutes.
 
I've seen a little bit of the development of this particular splitter and I think overall it's the best available option at the moment. However a word of caution, I've had two of the CPR splitters on my car and you will REALLY struggle to use either of these for a road car application. While they're not the same brand, they essentially take up about the same amount of space / angle. As this one is not a single f/g sheet there may be even less flex in it which can be forgiving at times. Lastly, if you're going to use one on the track I think you will almost certainly needs some support stays to attach this to the car.
Having said all that, I'm tempted to give one of these a try. [:)]

Patrick I saw the vid showing what happened to your race version [&o] Do you think the street version is susceptible to the same problems then? I thought the 'flexi' material they were made from would do away with these problems?

If Scotty is putting modern 21st century petrol, oils and antifreeze into his oh so standard S2, not to mention modern tyres, does that mean he has modified it...??!!

Ugh, I do hope not as I despise these people who tweek, modify and otherwise update their cars....[;)]

Loved the look of the black splitter on my old Turbo and I'm pretty sure it made a small difference to straightline stability at speed on motorway etc.

The new owner has put 3000 miles on it in the last 2 months or so, so good to see it is being used properly. he has also promised to give me first refusal should he ever decide to sell it [:)]

If so, that was in fact the road version which had up till then, lasted ok during 2 other track days and up and down my quite steep driveway. What I failed to do was attach this one via metal 'stays' to the body of the car as we thought the relatively shorter aspect of it wouldn't require any further strengthening. I was wrong...[:mad:]
Should have checked out the connections prior to the event. Luckily it didn't get badly damaged and should live to fight another day.
So in a roundabout way of answering your question, I think you could possibly live with the V1 or street version of the CPR brand and as it's a single layer rather than what appears to be the folded over or double sided one which is the topic of this post. The ability for it to flex upwards should give you some grace in most situations.
I would use the one shown in the Ebay advertisement posted for track days and possibly take it on and off for this use only.
