Humber Bridge evening meeting 23 July

Last year R4 and R7 members had a very enjoyable joint meeting at the Country Park Inn under the Humber Bridge. We are holding a repeat event on the evening of Wednesday July 23rd. Cars will begin to arrive from c. 1830 onwards with the intention of eating at around 1930.

Great view, good food, lots of Porsches and nice people - a really enjoyable evening out.

If you are thinking about coming please post on this thread so we have a rough idea about numbers for the restaurant.

Unfortunately I am organising a welcome home Parade for the Royal Anglian Regiment on that day in Cleethorpes. I wish I could have shared your hospitality again for what was an excellent evening last Year. Hope to catch up with some of you during this Year.

 
Good to see some people are coming to this - if you are thinking of coming please just pop a note on here.

Some members may have seen that the parent company for the venue has gone into voluntary administration. I have had a word with the hotel and they are and will be operating normally with the same staff etc. - it wasn't their part of the business that caused a problem.

In the unlikely event that there are any changes I will ensure that we are aware and will advise accordingly.

We will be joining you with the rest of our crew from R4 so if you could add us to the list requiring a meal that would be great, please note if they need advance notice Shirley is a Vegetarian. Looking forward to it as we had a great day with you all at Bridlington.

Looks like 7 cars from R7 at the moment which is quite good - if anyone else is thinking of coming please post soon and also pop a note on the R4 site - you can turn up on the night but we do try to give the hotel a ball park attendance figure.

Regrettably I will be unable to be there. I work for HSCC looking after the Super Touring Cars at various tracks. It has now been clarified (very late ) that I need to be at the Wing on Thursday at 0900 to support over the 4 days of the Classic and so need to head down on the Wed. evening.

Shame because it is a really good evening - hope you all enjoy.

I have also double booked, as I shall be in Newcastle for a colleagues memorial service I can't do both.
