Husborne Crawley auto jumble May 30th

Although I thought that this had died a death a couple of years back, I heard from Darren at RPM that the Porsche auto jumble is on again at the White Horse, Husborne Crawley, MK43 0XE this Saturday.

I'm surprised I haven't seen a post about it here or on Titanic [&:]

Was thinking of popping along as long as I've got my car back, sporting all it's new 'Mods'.... or should that be upgrades?[:D][;)]

For the first time in years, I'll be there... primarily for pre-arranged parts pick-up... I was of the opinion that eBay had pretty much killed it, so not really that hopefull of it being brilliant.

The White Horse? This is a blast from the past! I thought that t'eBay would have killed off events like this.

When Alan Wright (ex-G-Force) was organising it, the Autojumble was held twice a year at the White Horse. It's been a couple of years now since he sold (or gave) the rights away and it became purely an annual event but it does seem to have become a mere shadow of it's previous self. I think the bigger names, i.e. Jasmine, Southbound etc. still come but I always find it quite difficult to establish what I'm looking at since things are often not labelled with what they are. Perhaps it's just a case of making sure you can visually identify what you're looking for!! I guess most autojumbles are like that in fairness, but the eBay revolution has a big impact of things such as this since you ARE likely to have some comeback on the seller whereas you may not know who you bought from at an autojumble. Caveat Emptor, as they say!!!

Regards

Dave
