no warrenty either [&o]

You don't need it! They have sorted the RMS problems out on this model by replacing the engine with some low tech plastic, same as the one use in this Space Shuttle, rocket science stuff: [8D]

Will you have to re take your test with a left hooker ??will "Hubby" feel safe sitting there straddling the white line?
Would he like a leftie Cayenne to go with it ?

I am new to PCGB and wonder whether most dealers offer discount on new cars or just on parts and sevicing.

Paul, Welcome aboard
Helen may have received a discount on her new car above [:D], but if your after one on a (real) car....don't hold your breath, or No, or I wish..[:(]
10% on spares and sometimes service, but depends very much on which OPC.

Thanks. I have been speaking to several OPC's and am still looking for an angle for a discount. It seems like they stick together on that one. I guess if I want the best sports cab I am just going to have to pay for it.

After a few washes you'll find that turns into a 996...

In effect they would be operating a fixed price policy. We are supposed to work in a competitive market format.I think they could be breaking anti competition laws as you cannot buy a Porsche elsewhere without facing difficulty when selling.as most if not all OPC's will not buy or exchange an imported vehicle ,which is discrimination .Manufacturers have been forced to recognise service work carried out by other than official centeres. If the manufacturers continue to buy up and control all outlets in the uk to the detriment of the consumer HMG will step in with the backing of Brussels and force competition. In Europe you can negotiate wiih the seller on the MRP.

Porsche negotiated an exclusion on that.

The only thing they do have to honour is recognising service work carried out by other than official centres. However, those centres need to meet very strict Porsche defined standards to be able to carry out the approved service work. Meeting those standards is prohibitively expensive, which is why not one independent garage has yet appllied to be certified.
