I bought the wrong car

Threw away my cash on an S2 when I could have bought this beast HERE.

Almost 700bhp...... similar spec to a "Maclarine F1" apparently (I don't know much about these things).

I think I'll sell up now before 944 values collapse. [:(]

But that's always going to be a "Rice Muncher" [X(] your much better off with solid German build quality.

I'd never sell an S2 for that crap.

That was far to subtle to be funny, i thought you were serious (mad but serious [;)])

Get waxing, i think slims going to be waxing for first place in the best waxed 944 this year - he's got some serious kit to do it, suppose it comes down to talent [:D][;)]

It's easiest to assume mik is always kidding I find... [;)]

Did anyone see the ripping it got on Barryboys? 700bhp measured with a performance meter [:D]

Problem is those Supras were never known for their great handling. What it gains in the straights the 944 will real back in through the corners.

Anyway after reading the thread on insurance the thing might not cost as much as a Maclaren F1 but it'll cost more to insure - if you could find anyone who whould insure you!! I'm too scared to even buy an air freshner now.

Oh well.... I guess to be fair you do have to look quite closely to spot all the ridiculous claims.

700bhp but only 0-60 in 4.7secs (allegedly).
700bhp measured using a performance meter in 3rd gear ~ he "ran out of road" at this point but was only doing 45mph.
There are load of others [:)]

Must make it more obvious when I'm being silly [;)]

Then I shall let him have his moment (I wondered why he wasn't keen on a big drive).

So long as he doesn't try to sell me his car. [;)]

Your always saying that his S2 isn't that much slower than the beast - so why would he be impressed ? [;)]

hmm I think he should recalibrate his bhp machine!!!!
If the car is making 700bhp at 45 mph in third gear I dont think he would be getting it to stick on damp roads!!!!
I know of an Evo that genuinly made similar figures and the limitation was that they couldnt change gear quick enuf to get max performance out of it on open road they also had some traction issues even in a 4wd ( which they remedied) - hardly thingk a 2wd supra would be any better on those crap wheels!
I think this guy has succumbed to the wishful thinking
anyway - I thought your supposed to plot BHP against torque not speed!??correct me if im wrong.
hmm now wheres that £28000 I had lying around i think Ill buy an H reg toyota Supra!

I guess someone might fall for it, but the claims are all rubbish.

I don't think you could get 900 ftlbs of torque out that engine even if you wanted to (and spent a shed load of cash).
The graphs are meaningless.

Anyway, good entertainment value.
