I claim my prize for silliest question of the year - I would like to know the height from the floor to the top of the mirror casing on a 981 when the mirrors are folded in/turned upwards ?
Yes, before anyone asks this is related to a few more "modifications" to the garage door gubbins ... [

On a standard suspension 2013 981S the widest part of the mirror, which when folded is not the top of housing but the plastic trim surround at the bottom, which is now facing 45 degrees off vertical, is 87.5cm.
My garage door is 205cm wide. The car fits in comfortably although I do have to retract the mirrors to get it in. The parking sensors light up like Christmas trees but there is plenty of space for the front and rear wings which are narrower than the folded wing mirrors. A red vertical line painted on the end of the garage wall directly in front of the centre of the steering wheel is my reference point.
I always put my Silverline wing protectors on OSF, NSF and NSR wings for manoeuvring around the car when getting stuff in and out of the garage.

Good to know it fits a garage door 2050mm wide... as my door is 2115mm!

The 1978mm is mirrors out. Folded, it's officially 1801mm and I can agree that. When I went to look at the car I took a long piece of straight wood, a large spirit level, piece of chalk and a tape measure. I marked the floor plumb on to double check.
When I get home later I will measure the garage and suggest the space required for opening the door for getting out.

Mine is a slightly over large double so take that in to account.
On the nearside the edge of the folded mirror is 75cm to the wall. I don't normally open that door although there is enough room if required.
On the offside the door opens 75cm measured from the edge of the intake vent to the door edge. This is a natural stopping point for the door and allows me easy access, but then as the door opens in to the centre of the double garage it gives me a bit of leeway without having to worry about banging the door edge in to a wall.
