I do wish I hadn't boroscoped my sills

ouch! I've just replaced one of my outer sills with a cover sill .
Are you going to do the work yourself ?

Fortunately my inner was ok because like you I used a boroscope a few years ago and have been squirting oil and grease into the sills ever since. Its crude but very effective and has kept the rust at bay for nearly 10 years now.

I don't have the room, tools or inclination to do it myself. I like your idea of squinting oil and grease in there. Bit late for me though :-(

I had both sills replaced/repaired about 5 years ago. I'm keen to keep them as good as possible, where do you squirt the oil and grease in and what do you use?

I used Dynax from Bilt Hamber. Go in through the vent in the B-pillar and feed the included nozzle down the sills from there spraying away as you withdraw it slowly (#badsexdialogue).

Ha! I looked it up and it's actually called an "injection lance". That #badsexdialogue is only going to get worse from this point! [:)]

I understood your instructions....no need for pictures on this occasion thankfully!

And if you pull off the trim that runs along the top flange and pull back the carpet there are rubber bungs in the inner sill which allow you to get some gunk in between the inner and the centre sill and right up to the front of the boxed in sections.

Best thing is to put cardboard down on the floor along the length of the sill and then lance every cavity until it is dripping out of the drain holes the whole way along. That way you know you have covered it all. (Make sure drain holes are clear first)
