Today is a great day! After a few weeks of pondering a couple of test drives the 996 is in the bag. Thanks to Richard and everyone else for the buying tips etc but the Boxster 2.5 1997 is dead long live the 2001 Tip finished in Lapis Blue with sand hide. Had lots of fun today going up and down the gear box! 70k young and tight as a button it passed the pre purchased inspection with flying colours, everything works. It's beena long journey starting with a 1978 S reg 924 horror story with 17 owners, living with 2 994's, one Pre SC 911, touching a 924 but the 996 has come home!
God bless

Hey Adrian,

Congratulations!!

I also made the move last year from a 2.5 Boxster to a 996....what a huge difference...still can't get used to it!
Enjoy[:D]

I went from a 2.7 Boxster to a 996 C4 cab. Have not regretted it.

Enjoy, and many happy and safe miles [:)]

250 great miles so far! For all those who made the move from a Boxster it is surprising that the car feels so much bigger but it is about the same size. When I told my other half I was trading in the Boxster she asked what for and I said somthing more practical with four seats and a proper roof!
