she was might happy anyway.. having always had cabs in the past the Audi A4 family car was her first hard top she was not impressed but endured 3 years with it.. Still keeping it as the family hack not worth much really so it's worth more to us as a hack car. So the 944 is an S2 and it's been in the midlands and Bath from the history it's had a few private plates and it's done 89,000 miles. All the bits seem to be in the right place and working. I cleaned it big time as it was clean but not that clean so the paint has come up real nice with my 3 process paint working a day to do that!! but it only needed a mild cut back to get some real shine and depth to the paint..

any pointers are always welcome. It's odd having a water cooled car. But it's a great drive and also much better than I was expecting now I understand why the 944 has a cult following. May be tempted with a coupe but a toy has to go to make room, and I mean room I have 11 cars at the mo so some moderns will have to make room.

That looks great, I would love a cab S2. But would a turbo coupe and a S2 cab be madness????

Anyway from your other post you said you only did standard, so what are those alloys doing on it? You must sell them me right away and put some d90's on!

don't ask me to say your mad for having two cars.. I am only one away from a whole collection of 912's though the years. LOL 65 , 66, 68 and a 69 I just need a 67 to complete the set so having two is just normal.. mind you that is where I started out at.. so you know where it could end up LOL...

Lovely looking car. I too have thought about getting an S2 cab to go with my Turbo but then there is a whole list of cars that applies to as well.

Looks great, as for having a cab and a coupe ........................................................... do it!

Very nice looking car. Not sure i've ever seen too many silver 944 cabs.
Your picture has made me think how modern that cab conversion was. It still looks good with roof up and down today. One of the few cars that looks nice with the roof up as well as down.

Blimey that's a straight looking car! You could display that in the showroom next to the new 997 models without it looking out of place!

Gosh some nice comments thank you very much.

Yes I agree was one of the main reasons for buying this one with out looking at any others. I normaly look at loads before I make my mind up but this being silver and a blue hood I thought it looked very modern and NOT it's age.

The paint is very good two small area's ( scratches ) that could be fixed at some stage but I will prob leave well alone..

The only area that needs some work is the seats as they are good but the face has been painted with the spray you can get for vynal now normaly it's good stuff but this has faded alot so I may have to take them out and redo them. As I have done this sort of paint on vynal before with some amazing long term results. I used to be anti this stuff but it's very good. I get it from a place in New Milton who supply Frost with it but he will mix any colour you like for alot less money.

Goes well I took it for a 3.5hr drive the other day and it was a joy to drive I found in a way a car that matched my style of driving.. Tootles along with the flow of traffic and when I need to put my foot down to get out of trouble it's there ( big time ) like 2 lanes into one and I want to make sure I am infront of the car on my left so he can see me. then its there and like wise if I can see some one faffing I can get out the way to leave them to faff..

corning is great very stiff but I have to say my 912's are poss abit qicker in the corners poss could be road noise I am thinking could be difference really but over hall very pleased what a car. Turns heads every where you go ( which was not the point of having it. ) as I have some nice cars I just wanted the wife to have a 4 seater ( LOL yeah right I have sat in the back ) Porsche and a cab.. I have to say I am a converted 944 man for sure..

way way ahead of there time. Ya found a lil jem ,by the look of her. Well done, bet the missus is well made up [;)] Dont they look gooooooooooooood [:D]
