I had Contis on 19" rims and felt I was missing out.

I was getting increasingly wary about my contis and their grip. From new the car never felt as grippy as the test car I drove. 8500 miles later and they felt terrible. 3MM left in centre of rears and at every junction they would loose traction (PSM on). I never felt confident driving the car fast. I always felt that the alignment was out from factory. Anyway all four now changed to michelins and I cannot tell you what a difference it has made. Far more grip, on gthe damp roads we have at the moment I have bags more confidence and I really feel as though I have missed out on this. So if anyone is speccing their car and is having 19s, plead with them not to put contis on. I have now driven 3 michelin shod 3.2s all with 19s, 2 with pasm and one normal and each car drove substantially better than mine did on contis.
