Hi Everyone,

Thought it might interest someone: i found a black 993 rs LHD for sale with 122000 km (about 66k miles).
The car seems genuine (no accidents, maintained regularly).
Although it sleeps in the street and the owner uses it as a daily driver.

It will probably need 3-5k pounds to make it perfect (a few cosmetics + rear mags refurb).

The car is offered for £39.9k and after talking with the owner, i feel that 36-37k could work...

You can contact me and i will pass over the details.
The guy is not a friend of mine... and i am not taking any commissions.

I received lots of advice from people on this board so time to give back....

Regards,
Eric.

PS: i decided i would not go for a 993 rs as they are a bit too expensive for a clean one for my budget. Still thinking about either 964rs in dark color or gt3.

For anyone who can cope with higher mileage i reckon the price is very fair , not having seen it.................wud be imprtant to know who had been looking after it, any big stuffs etc Anything below £40k must be a buy !

i asked to see the log book and the car was maintained by a porsche specialist in Leicester... a guys who races porsche apparently i think the name is along the lines of CGR or something similar. It was clearly maintained over the years.

I checked a few panels and they seemed to be original at first glance. The car clearly had its original factory sticker with chassis number and option codes under the front bonnet.

The guy was way less clued up than most of the people on this board. Although he was still concious that the car he had bought 3-4 years ago following an Autocar article saying how good the car was to drive had gone up in value....

Is this the car Eric's?

A LHD GT3 is going to cost you £38k+, cheapest I've seen currently at Northways a decent 993 RS may be a better bet!

Yes that would be my race support indi Chris Sargent at GCR in Leicester. I have seen a black LHD 993 RS in there from time to time so story adds up. I am sure Chris would be happy to talk to anybody about the car 0116 2780900.

The seller, Tony, is bringing the car down to my workshop on Thursday morning for me to have a look at it and drive it. It was his idea as he is planning to take it up to Leicester and is prepared to make a 120 mile detour on my behalf!. It suits me as I will get a much better test drive around the lanes of Sussex than I would in Kensington.
