Hi All,

Just to let you know that exactly one week after a total hip replacement I have just got into our gold 944 ready for a return to hospital for physiotherapy on Thursday. I am feeling so much better than even two days ago, so am definitely over the worst.

Thank you for all the good wishes....it is really appreciated.

Sue xx

p.s. I have just had the first enquiry about Porkers 2016.

That's impressive Sue - one week after having her hip repaired with "Meccano" rather than having a full hip replacement, my wife was having trouble getting in and out of the MB shopping trolley, getting into the 968 was not an option!

Hope the rest of the recovery goes as well, best wishes.

Very impressed and well done Sue. I hope you continue to make a speedy recovery.

Message for Mac - you had better get your pumps on![;)]

Sue, you're lucky! When we first bought the 968 coupe, it was our main car and did many supermarket etc runs, we bought a cheap Volvo estate for the odd occasion we needed 4 full size seats or for runs to the tip - and over the years it's metamorphosed into a 2008 MB C class estate and the 968 became the weekend (and, now it's a cab, sunny days) toy. Too many people do not realise how practical an FE Porsche can be - we took the coupe to Le Mans with full camping gear, still found space for a little "liquid shopping" on the way back! I'm sure I saw a 944 towing a caravan some years ago, and Waylander's 968 coupe had a tow hitch when he bought it!!

Great to hear, Sue, and David kept the good vibes flowing about you last nite at the OPC Bolton do, too.
Just make sure you don't get too comfy in that 944 seat (driver's, I presume [;)] ) as you'll be all too tempted to put your foot down and be off like a shot!
I know, if yours is anything like one of our family member's, who also had a total hip job around this time of year, that you'll be good for a jig at New Year, no problem.
