I like your cars....

Followed an SC today in my 997, and have to say that it is not easily apparent where 25years of development have gone - as much as I like having the current creature comforts there is a lot ot be said for less weight....

OK, so I may not have been absolutely wringing the neck of my car, and the driver of the SC was almost certainly more talented than me, but have to say that I was hugely impressed by the performance of the SC. A nice car!

Well thankyou Tim. The overlooked SCRS was the fastest accelerating production 911 including Turbos till the mid 90s. Sdaly I don't own one. []

Cheers Tim, same to you as they say. I'm a big 997 fan as for me the lines are much more evocative of the earlier cars. Love the colour of yours too.

People could be forgiven for thinking that, because the SC has a name as the ideal 'starter 911', it is a bit lame in places and owners will feel the need to upgrade once they have acclimatised to the characteristics of the rear-engined layout. But in good condition the SC is a fine car and a proper Porsche.

The SC is a great car to drive, fast or slow. The light weight and superb traction makes them hugely chuckable and very quick through the gears. The driving experience is as pure as it gets this side of a ClubSport or 964RS, and all for a fraction of the cost of either.
