I MUST BE DREAMING...................

WOKE UP THIS MORNING and suddenly found I was a Porsche owner once again!

Came across a nice, new Ice Blue Turbo in my garage.

It all happened so quickly, I don't quite know what happened myself.

After nearly 2 years and 14½K miles, it was time for me to come to my senses and part company with my beloved 430 Scuderia for something more sensible ......................a 500 BHP Porsche. [;)]

A sad day indeed parting with my boyhood dream but I really needed something more in keeping with my overall image (sad old f*rt [8|])

I enjoyed every minute with my first Ferrari and every single mile I've covered in her - I hope she'll find an appreciative new home.

Now it's onward and upward.......

It's quite a full spec.

Ice Blue Metallic
Black leather interior
Porsche Vehicle Tracking System
Windscreen with grey top tinted
ParkAssist (parking aid rear)
Telephone module
Universal audio interface
PDK 3-spoke sports steering wheel
Cruise control
Floor mats
Heated seats
Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV)
Sport Chrono Package Turbo
Electric slide/tilt sunroof
Rear wiper
Dynamic cornering lights
Adaptive sports seats
7-speed double clutch transmission
Clear glass tail lights
Door entry guards in stainless
Rear section of center console
Porsche crest embossed on head
Wheels painted in Black
Exterior package painted

The car caught my eye sitting in the showroom when I tested the GTS recently. Lo and behold! - it's now mine.

It gets Judith's seal of approval - even though her new kitchen is once again on hold! []

I can now legitimately join in a lot more PCGB events without a tongue in my cheek. [X(]

Looking forward to seeing everyone in April for our Westcountry run - not long to go now! [:)]

Regards,

Clive

And we've come full circle :) Many CONGRATS Clive... Although poor Judy :(

No ceramics and no letter S on the back?! What's going on there?

Should be a more pleasurable experience for those following close to the new turbo Clive, than in last years SW Drive!
A great looking car in blue, will be pleased to meet up in a few weeks time.

Cheers

John

Great car, great spec and I have to say I do like that colour Clive. A very pleasant change from all these red and white ones.[;)] Pretty good insurance quote too I see from the other thread!

Well done Clive-smashing colour and good spec. I trust the salesman handed you a big cheque as well as the keys![:)]
Regards, Mike.

Cayenne Diesel Gen 2 Meteor Grey

Well, I go out for the day and look what you've done!!! Did your dealers come to their senses and do a proper deal in the end - and what happened to the ceramics???

Looks a super car Clive, with plenty of toys, so look forward to seeing you both on the SW tour.

Excellent choice,Love the colour Clive, look forward to seeing you both on the sw drive
Paul.
I am still learning all the bits on ours,e.g bluetooth,it does work with sagem phones, still fiddling with all of the rest though

Nice one Clive, lovelly spec.

I'd been keen to know more of why your didn't do an S

Sorry to see the Scud go, great toy.

Welcome back to the dark side.............

Congratualtions Clive (and Judy [;)])

It is a stunning colour :p and looking car.
Spec is wonderful and I'm sure you'll get the best from it..

Does this also mean I can use narrow bridges again now [:D]

Hi Guys,

Very touched by your kind comments and good wishes.

This really is a great register to be a member of, isn't it? [:)]

A Turbo S was planned from Exeter OPC - but the deal fell at the final hurdle.[]

Bristol OPC had this car available and it took my fancy. Something more comortable was needed with Judy just recovering from major shoulder surgery. The deal was concluded in short order and the plan fell into place. [;)]

It remains to be seen whether, with this kit, we can keep up with the big boys, but it'll be fun. [8|]

I must say Bristol pulled out all the stops in putting the package together and I can't praise them highly enough. They're a great bunch to deal with.

Gary - bring it on! [;)]

Will post up first impressions in due course.

Regards,

Clive.

I'm really happy for you Clive but I worry about the lack of ceramics as I recall this was why you got rid of your 997.1 Turbo. What has changed with the steel brakes to change your opinion on this?

Hi Alex,

PCCB's would have been my first choice, but we are where we are.

Gen 2 brakes seem better than Gen 1 - but time will tell.

I've got some AP 380 rotors lined up if all else fails. [;)]

Regards,

Clive

I'm sure Judy will find this one much more comfortable
As for your comment on (keeping up with the big boys) you are up there still leaving Tanya and I in your wake
Hope Judy makes a speedy recovery
Regards
Paul

Lovely car, Clive, and what a fantastic colour! I look forward to seeing it on the SW Drive, and I'll certainly be much happier sitting close behind you in convoy than with your previous steed! See you soon, John

Congratulations Clive. I am sure you must have been sorry to see the Scud go but some very happy memories to keep. I am sure you will enjoy the Turbo and look forward to seeing it in April

Saw this car in PC Bristol recently while driving past, the colour caught my eye, and looked stunning, ended up turning round and going back for a peek. What a beauty. [:)]

All my cars bought and serviced at PC Bristol. Always a pleasure to deal with.
