I was fortuntae enough to own a 924 brand new back in 1984 - alpine white with black/white pinstripe interior - reg A653 LVU; I wonder if she' s still out there, is there any way of checking wit the DVLA?

I' m fairly sure the DVLA will only supply details of previous owners if you actually own the car

Can' t find any details of the car on the register either

[8|] Paul is correct. DVLA will only give information (for a fee) if you are the current owner and have a reason for requiring the information.

Thanks for that anyway. It' s probably in a breaker' s right now or worse. Just thought it would be cool if it was still on the road, I' m toying wit the idea of getting one again just to tide me over until I can afford a 993 which is still 1-2 years away at the rate I' m going! if anyone has a white ' 84 in nice nick email me at mx@alans.co.uk

Alan, take a look at the ' Cars For Sale - 924 Register members' thread - there might be a car there for you [:)]

Paul, could you let me know if the register is avalible to anyone? we too had a beautifull 924 10 years ago, two tone metallic silver reg OYX953Y, i have tried since to find her but where do you start?
We look every month at the 924 for sale but are sure it has not come up, if you know of any info we would apprecaite it.
Time passes and circumstances change and we now have a 996 but would love to find ' baby' as we called her and would happily buy her back to make a pair!

Hello Kim

Sorry it' s taken so long to reply to you - just back from a weeks holiday [:)]

I' ve had a quick look through the records avaliable to me and can' t find a record of your car :(

To answer your question: I can only give the barest details to individuals without the express permission of the cars present owner - in other words I have to be able to get in touch with that owner myself to pass on the enquiry - then it is in their hands to take the matter further.

I can reveal only if the car is/was registered with the Club, but no more.

Saying that - the Clubs own definitive archive database is still some way from completion, but will (in time) be able to say with more authority what cars were/are registered with PCGB.

This is an exciting development for the 924 Register and for PCGB in general. [:)]

Thankyou Paul
Never know one day I might find it, thanks for answering and good luck with the database
Kim
