Thanks for all the good luck wishes earlier in the year re my MCIOB exams (Member of Chartered Institute of Building)

Guess what...............................

I passed [:D][:D][:D]

Guess what...............................

I got two credits (which was a double bonus as its the hardest most intense thing I`ve ever done. (Equivalent to a degree course in 7 months)

Can breathe easier now, got an immediate pay rise too [8D]. Thought it would go on the Porker but according to my social secretary at home for now its going towards the new kitchen [&o][&o]

Bravo!

Sounds like quite an achievement. Degree in 7 months - you'd never make a proper student. There is no way they are capable of working that quickly ...

Could you come and have a look at my pointing :ROFLMAO:

Well done Paul, you definately need to spend some of that on the car [;)]

Well done!
We could well do with some decent sensible design and construction applied to housing in this country, which IMHO is appaling. Hopefully you can shake things up a bit.

nice one well done.
Fraid I have to take issue with the suggestion that 7 months work is the equivalent of a 3 year degree though . It isn't ! Courses such as Architecture or Building Surveying Engineering cannot be done in 7 months lol
I think whsat is meant is that the examination is at the same level as a degree but that is not the same thing.

So how many letters have you got after your name now lol

There is no way I could get through three years worth of lager in the student union bar in under 7 months [:'(] so I really do take my hat off to Paul now.

When I was at uni there was a guy on my floor in halls who was doing economics who had 7 hours of lecures a week so I suppose he could have condensed his course a little. I had 38 hours plus workshop and lab time. I still managed to spend more time than him at the student union bar as well.

Actually it is far more than a degree as you have to have a degree or the degree equivalent qualifications to start with ie: HNC/HND in a building discipline (4 years part time) and a large number of years of detailed knowledge and management seniority ahead of the course which took (me anyway) something over 20 hrs study a week solid for some 7 months.

Thanks all for your comments.

I`m not a boastful chap but it is something to achieve in my industry and not many pass it (not many did this year) so I blew my own trumpet for once. [:)]

Nuff said.......back to Porkers [;)]
