I smell b#@%$h!t

Apart from the interior, sill extensions and price it doesn't look too terrible. Ripe for a TurboTim uprate [:D].

Hmm, look closely at the first picture, is it me or is that front wing alignment where it meets the badge panel particularly bad?

Note Steve Kevlin name on the Porsche GB letters etc.

Now our PCGB Motorsport Manager

I don't really doubt the letters per say...just a really odd advert with the way it has been presented.

TurboTim is far braver than me!

Yes it's not ideal, the car has every reason to of had the listed SE spec, however the side sills and 18" Wheels just kill it and look wrong...
Of course they can be removed, but something does look odd about the whole thing for some reason?
If it had D90 or Forged 16's or even 17's Cups, no side sills and a 15K tag etc...it would seem more realistic?

I'd be very surprised if this is one of the 15, all had leather interior and the majority were red, except of course the one to your left :)

Certainly could do with a better advert. 'Uncollectedshoerepairs' is perhaps a cobbler in more ways than one.

I put this through my own internal translation software and it came up with the following:

"Not an SE".

Certainly looks poor in that area

I don't think the "SE" is anything special anyway, and the uprated suspension will be slightly past its best after 25 years. You have to be a fan of blue interiors as well...

so - £5K ish for a 165k mile S2, possibly not the worst price in the world...

I thought the SE bits were just a way for dealers to shift the last few S2's.

That was my understanding on the whole. I think there was a degree of "Lets see what good bits we have left in the parts bins".

I also agree that many of the "desirable" add-ons will be long past their best now.

It is very blue. I don't necessarily dislike the blue though (with the exception of the steering wheel).

Yep, I agree. I think mine was about 8 years old when I bought it and the rear shocks needed replacing at the time. I toyed with the idea of removing the decals as I saw very little difference between a standard S2 and mine. The best bit was the 968 steering wheel :)

I've noticed that Alpine White with the cobalt blue logo interior seems to be quite common on the late (J/K plate) cars and I assumed it was Porsche trying to use up a glut of blue interiors and then thinking white would be the best exterior colour option to pair it with. Presumably when Porsche UK phoned up and said "nope, we still haven't sold the last few" they were told to bung some extra bits on for nowt and call them SE to try and shift 'em.
I changed the steering wheel, gear lever gaiter and cassette box lid to black on mine as it just takes the edge off the blueness.

you might, there was a huge difference in price
Your right there was, to the point where they couldn't shift them at £35,000?

But the idea to reduce the price (To 29K) and make the (80kg less?) "Club sport" and then the heavier version
for added comfort "Sport" both saved the day convincing some people to think they were getting more for less....

Even so sales flagged and they only produced & sold 500 to the Uk in 1995....... (mostly Sports, not the expensive coupe)

In 1996 the Boxster arrived...
