Hi All

Just a quick reminder for anyone thinking about doing the IAM test that the offer of the £25 discount when joining the Durham branch ends in December.

Cheers

Hi Julie,
I'm on the ctte for Forth Valley IAM, can I ask how you manage to make that offer? Are you taking the £25 hit at local group level or have you got IAM HQ to make up the discount?
(I remember there being a PCGB IAM discount a few months ago but I don't know if it is still available)

Although we have found discounts don't have much impact on sign up rates (except for perhaps young drivers)

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark

i don't have anything to do with the discounts as i'm not on the committee but my understanding is that its because of the Durham branches twenty fifith anniversary that they have made the offer. I know it only applies to the Durham branch until Christmas

Not sure where the hit is taken, When i signed up to do mine around the new year i thought that there was a pcgb discount which i'd read about but no-one else seemed to know anything about it so i'm afraid i paid the full cost at the time!!!

i think you're probably right about it not being a big enough incentive though.

Julie
