IAM Driver Skills Day - Mallory Park

Just in case anyone's interested... I've just booked a place on the IAM Driver Skills Day which is being held at Mallory Park (Leicestershire) this Friday. Short notice I know, but they've still got a few places left, for both morning and afternoon sessions apparently. It seems good value at £135 for the half day session on the Mallory Park circuit.

There are details about the Skills Days on the IAM site, but I noticed that they've just taken down the information about Mallory Park (even though there are still places). The
details for Knock Hill event will give you an idea though...

Call Lyn Francis asap on 0208996 9668 to book or for details.

Maybe see you there. Alan.

Strange - I just had some mail (posted 15th) from them that says the Feb slot at Mallory is full - although I wanted to book the Knockhill one anyway.

I called up on the morning of the 17th and there were 3 or 4 places left so I booked. On the day there were 2 places still unfilled.

After the early morning snow was cleared from the track, it dried up and turned out to be a brilliant day for the most part though it started snowing late in the afternoon and we enjoyed a skid training session [;)]. If anyone's interested, here are some pics of the event.... http://www.capturedindigital.co.uk/gallery.php (select Event=Mallory Park / Date= 19-02-2010 / Time= 13:30 on)

If Knockhill is too far for you, you'll be pleased to know they'll be holding another event at Mallory Park in November.
