ID Input - Aftermarket TPMS

My original 2009 Beru TPMS batteries have now died and I have replaced all sensors with Autel units from Germany. However, I fear this may have been a false economy, as two separate attempts by Porsche specialists have failed to input the ID codes. Whilst the units were specifically programmed by the supplier for the 997 turbo, the ID codes are not being accepted by PIWIS. The codes on the new units are alphanumeric whilst the originals are hexadecimal - numeric - only.

Am I going to have to bite the bullet and spend £400 or so on a new set, and put this down to experience? Or has anyone else encountered and solved this issue?

Hi
I have 2009 Turbo - TPMS is working fine although seems a bit slow to register pressures. How many miles has your car done?
Thanks and good luck - try RPM Technik I have found them excellent.

Oops - just responded on the wrong thread!
Has anyone been successful in entering the codes for non-OEM units?

Hi
Not sure if this helps but i bought a new set of 4 for £285 & fitted them to my GT2 wheels after a refurb as they didn't come with any sensors, my Local OPC had confirmed the part numbers I needed for my Gen1 997 Turbo prior to the purchase.
I fitted the wheels & then put the system to learn & that worked fine within a few miles once i had put in the correct pressures.

These are the ones i bought, happy to forward the details of where if anyone wants them.

Hi Karl
I'd be very pleased to have details from you. That's a good price. Why three numbers for the Porsche? Could you let me have supplier details?
Many thanks
Jon
