ID of S2 model

A friend of mine has a 944S2 with pale blue checked cloth interior. Would it be a standard model or a limited edition such as the Silver Rose? Would there be any other distinguishing features to look out for on the car, or would it just be standard S2?

Any ideas what the car may be worth? - 117,000 miles full PSH, driver seat trim wearing through, rear wiper not working, sunroof, other than that standard wear and tear for it's age (1989).

Many thanks

Hi Les,

There were no factory limited edition models of the 944S2, but there was a PCGB (Porsche Cars GB) run out special edition of the 944S2 - the 944S2 SE. It had different ECU software, M030 suspension and a special badge on the rear. If you are a club member, you can get specific details from Steve Kevlin at the Porsche Club (as he was involved with that project in 1992).

944S2 1989 with that mileage should fetch anything from £3,500 to £5,500 depending on condition and specification.

Regards,
Andrew
