Ideas for something to do

As every one is abit down with the club what about some idea's for things to do before the sun heads off south for the winter.

What about a day out where all just meet up at a pub for lunch.. Not the whole country trying to make one pub but lets look at the map and mark out a pub in different area's. So we all meet up on the same day at a pub at the same time in different locations.. This way we would get say 10 cars per area and a chance to meet up with classic owners in your area.

Any good???

or any one get any other idea's

Don't forget we did have a verbal agreement with Geoff Ives about a Classic swap meet and gathering at the club house a while back, we could use that..

any ideas before I lose the will to live!! [:D]

Im up for anyhting thats organised so long as it is a weekend when I dont have to be on call.

lets not get ahead of ourselves here.

we need a energetic and enthusiastic R/S in place first before we start organising things else we are bound to end up putting someones nose out of joint.

but, by all means keep the ideas coming in as its all useful information for who ever takes on the roll.

i say this from experience. it CAN (in some cases) upset the local R/O or another register R/S if they feel that ordinary members have gone off and organised things and they have not been consulted.

Who would be upset?

Go ahead and organise things. If the forum can be the tool that brings owners together and gets things going then great!

Isn't it amazing how the "vibes" of dissent and dissatisfaction filter through?
My only contact with the club these past three months has been through Porsche Post and the Forum, although I did attend a meeting of North Wales region on Wed 12th. But I have sensed the air of discontent even here, in a small sleepy town in Denbighshire, where, to my knowledge, no other club members live.
Extra-sensory perception?

dissent and dissatifation ? no not here, we are trying to stop that before it happens by keeping the early 911 register alive.
