Ignition lock getting dodgey

My ignition lock is getting a bit dodgey and and feels like it needs greasing. Whats the best grease to use?
 
I don't know about grease but many years ago I bought a tiny bottle of doorlock de-icing fluid from Halfords, which has a built in lubricator. Comes in a tiny bottle with a thin spout to get inside the lock - it certainly improved mine and I wasn't aware that I had a problem beforehand
 
You shouldn't normally use liquid oil in any form of lock.
Hardware shops sell a small 'puffer' of graphite powder especially designed for use in locks.
A small amount puffed into the lock or carefully onto the key should do the trick
