Ignition problem

Hi again
the other day i noticed my carpet was a little damp so i left the hood half way open to let some air into the car as its been stored in my garage, after a few days i went back to the car to start it up to find the battery was bang flat,so i fully chrged the battery but then found out the ignition wouldn't let me put the key in to start up so now i cannot start it does anyone have any ideas to has to what could be wrong thanks
 
HI there sorry for the delay the problem was that in the ignition there are small levers that let the key slide down the barrel and there was a couple of them that was seized up in side the barrel i sprayed i little WD40 and heypresto it works fine now thanks
