Illuminated headlight switch?

I know that the "icons" (shows I'm around computers far too much!) around my headlight switch should be illuminated, and they are, but should the actual switch itself have it's "icons" illuminated?

I've not noticed before, but did notice tonight that the switch wasn't lit...

No, the 'knob' itself isn't illuminated.
