Not sure if is against club rules to bring other useful sites to peoples attention, so sorry if it is.

Just wanted all 3.2 owners know about www.impactbumpers.com which is dedicated to all impact bumper Porsche's. If you haven't been on check it out [:)]

It's not my site but it has some bvery useful info.

pfft

My membership was declined before i could even join. Very very heavily moderated there

Surprised i joined no problem, was it recent as they have had to change server i believe? Not noticed any intervention. Have met up with the crowd at Meriden and had a superb night. Found site to be very helpful if you need advice
Whilst on the subject of moderation wasn't it this forum who's Chairman posted about the success of Ragley Hall and closed so no one could respond?
Still waiting for the report on follow up meeting at Ragley ( perhaps i missed it) or has that been censored for our benefit?
Glass houses comes to mind

I joined and it seams to chuck out my password will have to have alook again it was a good site.

There have been a few techical/webby issues with the IB forum of late, I think they're pretty much sorted at the moment, although I think the URL is still incorrect. Also if your account has been inactive for a set period I think you need to register again.

As for moderation its certainly no different to any other car forum such as DDK and I've seen no problems there.

I registered on it last week but have not recieved a confirmation email or anything from the site

any idea's folks?

I would try giving Jon Glynn an email, the new server is up and runnig and some stuff had been lost in the transfer. The site is definately worth it, loads of info and great guys on there who really know IBs.

approval is not via an automated system, its somebody pyhsically checking you're not some spammer or internet pest.

I believe that I was declined because of my Supersport to rsr back date. I joined to look at a thread some one had started over there about how I'd wrecked a Supersport. 1 week later I was declined, I used the same name as I do for all these forums. Tried with a different name and was approved

The sheriff and his deputys, are very fast to cut and remove topics without telling you either but as in life there are some good people on there .

There are other sites as well we all have a choice to were we go etc. He just runs a tight ship and it is his ship .
The site is very good easy to use and surf so it has many good things going for it.

SEE YA

I've found the guys over at impactbumpers very helpful and friendly
I'd be very surprised if a backdate would exclude you, there is at least one other guy over there who has a backdated IB
There have been a few tech problems over there in the last couple of weeks, and John has been fighting with his ISP so membership requests might have got lost in transit

I've not seen any evidence of heavy handed moderation, or removed topics, and have enjoyed meeting up with a number of the guys at various races this year

Joined a couple of days ago due to the recommendations here - no probs and very fast ( within 10 minutes ) reply email with password.
On first viewing looks to be a very useful source of information.
Thanks for the heads-up.
