Just bought a Boxster - my first venture into Porsche cars. Previously driving the ultimate reliability machine, a Celica 190, which I am keeping in case my Porsche experience goes pear shaped! Delivery of this 04 model is sometime next week. Do I need to keep my Toyota?!

I would keep the Toyota for the occasional trip to the garden centre; pizza, curry takeaway; an outing which may need the seats at the back (not sure how practical the Celica back seats are for this purpose) and if you have a partner then the Toyota can be "our car" and Porsche can be "my car", everyone wins [;)]

Thanks for your replies. Now addicted! Nothing matters in life now, as long as I can buy high octane. The Celica is now relegated to shopping trips....sometimes!
I thought the Toyota sounded good at 8500 but that flat 6 is...... more mature. Glorious is a word I rarely use but appropriate!

Welcome to the joys of driving ! I guarantee you will be finding any excuse to go for a drive in your Boxster - late night drives; favourite roundabouts, bends and tunnels, identified and landmarked for drives; and even trips to the DIY centres for just a potted plant (to keep the other half content) !

I've had by boxster about 3 weeks now. I agree with all the above - late night drives; favourite roundabouts, bends and tunnels and even trips to the DIY centres for just a potted plant (to keep the other half content) !

Never enjoyed anything in life so much!
